40 Years of The Toucan – Anniversary Celebration! 🍀

Join us as we celebrate 40 years of The Toucan Irish Pub with a very special night of music, memories, and community on Monday, March 16 — leading right into our official birthday on March 17!

We’re bringing back a true Toucan tradition with Rocket Surgery, featuring singer and songwriter Rueben deGroot and his supremely talented backing band. From 2012–2018, Rocket Surgery’s electrifying blend of country rock n roll, roots rock, jazz, and prog lit up Monday nights at The Toucan, keeping crowds dancing and smiling week after week.

Over the years, Rueben has shared the stage with incredible Canadian artists including Corb Lund, Sarah Harmer, NQ Arbuckle, Coco Love Alcorn, and Oh Susanna, who even covered one of his songs on her 2014 album Name Dropper.

This night is all about celebrating four decades of music, pints, friendships, and unforgettable nights at The Toucan. As the clock strikes midnight, we’ll raise a glass and count down to our 40th birthday together as St. Patrick's Day begins.
