Kashgar is an innovative six-piece world fusion outfit that plays original music combining the hard edge of progressive rock with jazz and world sensibilities. Fronted by guitarist Marcus Taylor, the group features Eric Brousseau (drums), Alberto Garcia (percussion), Steffen Davidson (sax), Keenan Weaver (bass) and Brian Yealland (keys). The tracks are original and dynamic, with searing guitar, sax and hammond interplay over rich percussive compositions that evoke bands like Santana and the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
